Doing What Doesn't Come Naturally

Being a servant. We hear that and we think, "yeah, that's easy, I know God told us to be", but when it really comes down to it, are we? I know it certainly does not come naturally for me and probably not for almost anyone else either!

In Matthew 10:42-45, the Bible says, "But Jesus called them to him and saith unto them, "Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them. But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: And, whoseover of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."

Jesus, who had all of the power in the world, humbled Himself (even with how powerful He was/is), and served others. Not because He had to, but because He wanted to and because He wanted to set an example for us to follow. Jesus is definitely not one of those "do as a say, not as I do", and for that, I am GRATEFUL!!
